And I grew up in southern Germany, where I also completed my bachelor’s degree in Management in Organic Business. After that, however, my path as a diving instructor took me abroad. I lived for several years on the Canary Islands, the Caribbean island of Curaçao, and in Australia.
Countless hours underwater not only deepened my love for the ocean and its incredible diversity, it became clear to me how fragile this ecosystem is and how quickly a paradise can turn into a graveyard. One of the most formative moments in my life was moving from Europe to the Caribbean. I could hardly wait to see my first coral in the wild. But unfortunately, the corals there were sick.
